A Queen Anne gilt-decorated japanned double-dome bureau bookcase
early 18th century

Allover decorated with gilt decoration and green japanning depicting figures and pavilions in a scenic landscape, birds, and floral motifs, the upper section with double-domed top with three giltwood finials, conforming doors with inset beveled mirror plates, revealing an arrangement of file compartments, doors, and small drawers to interior, the lower section with slant front revealing a fitted interior and well, over two short drawers above two long drawers, molded base on bun feet.

H: 86 1/2 in. W: 40 in. D: 24 in.
