early 19th century

The box exterior with inlays imitating brass escutcheons, hasps, hinges, and corner mounts, the box lid interior with intricate parquetry, the box with later fitted cedar interior with central divider, the top four quadrants with inlaid monograms, "CR," the stand with arched apron, square legs with geometric inlay, on carved ebony paw feet.
