The present lot was authenticated by Madame Duthuit, a letter of confirmation from Archives Matisse will be made available to the buyer.

This drawing was the basis for a lithograph of the same title [Duthuit, 404], which was created the same year, 1906. The original owner of this drawing, Auguste Clot was the printer of the lithographic series.
