Baume & Mercier

Baume et Mercier was originated in 1830 by brothers Louis-Victor and Célestin Baume in the Swiss Jura under the name Frères Baume. In 1851 the brothers opened a London branch which allowed for distribution of impressive timepieces throughout the British empire thus spreading their brand. In 1918 William Baume and Paul Mercier joined forces to create Baume et Mercier and shortly after recevied the Geneva Seal, an award of excellence in watchmaking.

Since 1988 Baume et Mercier has been a part of the Richemont luxury group.
