First edition, first issue. 8vo. 311, (1), (8) (ads) pp. Original turquoise cloth-covered boards, spine and edges faded, light spotting to spine and rear board, spine ends very lightly worn, stamped in black; in original illustrated dust-jacket, presumably supplied from another copy due to extensive fading on spine, worn and moderately soiled, some darkening to extremities, chipping and closed tears along panel edges, spine ends chipped and creased, discoloration from a now removed price sticker on spine. McIlvaine A53a.

Forming part of the Blandings Castle Saga, the events in this collection of short stories take place sometime between "Leave it to Psmith" (1923) and "Summer Lightning" (1929). These stories originally appeared in the Strand Magazine.
