A bicolored gold-mounted lapis lazuli and diamond miniature picture frame, Fabergé
marked Fabergé, workmaster's mark of Henrik Wigström, c. 1890

square, with conforming beaded gold bezel, surrounded with lapis lazuli panels with rosette centered bicolor gold mounts and stiff leaf border, the corners with lapis lazuli squares with rose-cut diamond borders centered by bicolor gold rosettes.

Note

O. Roy Chalk (b. June 7, 1907; d. December 1, 1995) was an important New York entrepreneur with several diverse holdings in transportation and real estate. Chalk is well remembered for his notable collection, including the 37.82 carat "Chalk Emerald" ring (now displayed at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History) and the Jean-Antoine Houdon 1789 plaster bust of Thomas Jefferson (now displayed at Monticello).
