London: R. Havell, (1836). Hand-colored engraving with aquatint and etching, on J. Whatman watermarked paper, dated 1836. Engraved, printed, and colored by R. Havell after J.J. Audubon’s watercolor. 38 1/8 x 25 5/8 in. (97 x 65 cm). Sheet lightly toned; light mat burn along outer plate mark; hand-coloring somewhat faded; wear along left edge, three short closed tears to same; short closed tear, bottom left edge, other scattered minor edge wear; soiling and spotting in margins. In mat and in frame, 41 3/4 x 30 1/4 in. (106 x 77 cm). Low, p. 82-83

Plate XCIV from Audubon's The Birds of America (London, 1827-38). "Painting and plate depict one bird in front of an Eastern Prickly-pear. Audubon wrote on the painting: 'Great Egg Harbor, June 26.' Great Egg Harbor is in New Jersey, and Audubon painted there during the summer of 1829." (Susanne M. Low, A Guide to Audubon's Birds of America, p. 83)
