The USS Los Angeles (Zeppelin Rigid-3) was a rigid airship, built between 1923-24, and was the longest serving rigid airship in the history of the United States Navy, used primarily in the development of the American parasite fighter program. It was decommissioned in 1932, recommissioned a year later, and flew several missions until she was retired to the hangar pictured above. She was dismantled in 1939.
