An unusual large Chinese "Splashed Jun"-type glazed bottle vase
qing dynasty, 18th/19th century

With compressed globular body on a slightly flared foot, tall tapered cylindrical neck, covered with a glossy pale blue glaze with streaks of darker blue, three purple-red splashes to the sides, mottled teadust and grey-blue glaze to underside; carved hardwood stand.

H: 14 in.

Provenance: Property from the Collection of Dr. Steven K-M Tim and Nancy Tim, Brooklyn, New York, acquired by 1998
