NOTE:
The present piece is the only depiction of mountain scenery by Daniel Garber. The artist painted it while in Vermont, where he was commissioned to paint "Main Street, Manchester-In-The-Mountains, Vermont". The descriptive title does not seem to be the artist's, nor one designated by his heirs. On his journey to Manchester, Garber informed his wife that he "went on over the Taconic Trail - pushed down a farm lane and worked over three hours - to see if [he] could do anything with the spaciousness of mountains."
