Artist Biography
Native American fiber artist Sylvia Seventy is known for her paper and textile constructions, as well as her long teaching career, in which she has introduced innumerable artists to fiber and paper art. Seventy is broadly represented in museum collections, including those of the Renwick Gallery, National Museum of Art, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C.; the American Craft Museum, New York, New York; the Erie Art Museum, Pennsylvania; and the Oakland Museum, California.
