We went to Barnums (sic) circus the day before yesterday it was so jolly, first we saw a procession of the Grenadier gaurds (sic) and a lot of men and women on horses, then Mr. Banum (sic) went round the room in his carriage, then we saw a lot of performing seals, then we saw a lady who threw knives round another lady standing against the wall, then we saw a man who turned head over heels over five elephants at once, then we saw two clowns flying a kite and and (sic) another clown came up and tore it to pieces and another e one of the clowns flying the kite came after him and stuck a pic-axe into his back, then we saw an elephant riding on a trycycle. With love to both. your loving son Plum. what a pity Father is not coming home yet.
