Note
Many versions of "The Many to Heaven and Hell or the New Jerusalem" were printed in the first third of the 19th century. A copy of the Montbeliard woodcut printed in the early 1800s-the inspiration for the present watercolor and ink drawing-can be found in the collection of the Library of Congress.
