A suite of four Chinese enameled porcelain panels
Jingdezhen, dated to a Xinyou year, equivalent to 1981

Each vertical panel depicting a dramatic winter landscape, inscribed and with one seal, in stained wood frames with scrolled brass hangers on top edge of frame (4).

H: 29 7/8, W: 8 7/8 in. (porcelain plaque); H: 40 1/2, W: 17 1/2 in. (framed)

Provenance: Property from a private corporate art collection, Philadelphia

NOTE: each panel with poems from the Tang Dynasty, which may be loosely translated as: "If you want to see far away you go to the highest tower" "The stream that is deep has no snow" "All sound is silence. Only the bell may be heard"
