A Chinese sancai glazed pottery figure of a civil official
Tang dynasty

The official depicted standing in a green surcoat with long sleeves; the borders mottled with amber, straw, and green over a long straw-glazed robe; with unglazed, painted head, wearing an official's cap with two peaks and a curled topknot, all raised on a pierced and mottle-glazed reniform base.

Approx. H: 28 5/8 in,. 72.7cm
