Gucci

The rich history of Gucci began in 1881, when Guccio Gucci was born in Florence, Italy. His father had established himself as a leather goods maker, giving Gucci the skills he would proceed to use in becoming one of the most established fashion houses and leather goods makers in the world.

The first Gucci store was opened in 1921, selling travel goods, leather saddles, and other equestrian riding supplies. By 1953, the brand had grown to such acclaim that the first Gucci store was opened in New York City. Only fifteen days after it's opening, Gucci passed away, leaving his family to modernize and expand the brand.

In the course of the 1970's, the Gucci brand expanded to Asia, and released their first fragrance, Gucci No. 1. Since then, Gucci has continued to innovate and grow as one of the leading luxury brands in the worlds of fashion, beauty, leather goods, and jewelry.
