Provenance: Private Collection, Pennsylvania.
NOTE:
The present painting appears to be an accomplished, late student composition done while Schoonover was studying under Howard Pyle at Drexel University, ca. fall of 1899. There is no evidence it was ever published and was not included in the published Catalogue Raisonné, 2009, along with a handful of other unrecorded, unlocated student works.
It will be included in the Raisonné database administered by The Norman Rockwell Museum, Stockbridge, Massachusetts.
