A Chinese stacking hardwood two-tier box, possibly zitan 双层提梁木盒 或紫檀

Of rectangular form, comprising a cover, fitted tray and two compartments, set on a base frame with short sides and side posts, flanked by cloud-form standing spandrels, joined at the top by a humpback handle, the cover held in place by a white brass rod extending through the two side supports, the base frame and tray corners reinforced with ruyi-head mounts at the corners of the cover.
