Wood with Rayée striped canvas covering, leather trim, wood rails, and brass hardware, raised on four metal casters. Interior fitted with a large single-compartment removable organizer above an open section at the base, surmounted by another larger multi-section organizer (comprised of two deep compartments to the left and a shallow compartment to the right, further surmounted by one large removable organizer with two lids and an open center section, all with cloth ties).
Bearing a large original paper label to rear interior wall of base section, with a Paris address of 1, Rue Scribe, and a handwritten serial number (apparently 6337). Both exterior side panels with handpainted monogram "J.T.M. Philadelphia"; the exterior overall bearing fragments of various late nineteenth century European hotel labels.
