Original full red cloth, stamped in gilt, soiling along spine and boards, corners bumped and worn; lacking dust-jacket; all edges trimmed; gutter worn at title-page.

Charles T. Henry was a lifelong friend of Shinn's, writing essays about his work in numerous publications. Upon Shinn's death in 1953, Henry was appointed executor of his estate.
