First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt writes to a Mrs. Rubenstone of the American Red Cross War Fund, thanking her for sending her a Red Cross bag, by way of Basil O'Connor, FDR's old friend, law partner, and co-founder of the March of Dimes. At the time of her husband's death, Eleanor was in Washington, while Franklin was in Warm Springs, Georgia.
