A collection of five original carbon typescript poems included in Bukowski's popular anthology of poetry, Love is a Dog from Hell (Black Sparrow Press, 1977). Bukowski wrote these poems during one of the most productive moments in his long and prolific career. They were written during the period when Bukowski met his second wife, Linda Lee Beighle, and the collection traces Bukowski's often volatile past relationships. It was customary at the time for Bukowski to make carbon copies of his work like these, sign and date them, and them send them to his publisher, Black Sparrow Press.
