Original pictorial black cloth-covered boards, slightly cocked, small abrasion at bottom of rear board, spine and extremities very lightly faded, stamped in gilt, in blind, olive-green, yellow, and with round illustrated paper onlay on front board; all edges trimmed; very light toning and spotting to endpapers. Precedes the English edition, "A Gentleman of Leisure," by six months.
