Publisher's purple cloth, decorated in blind and stamped in gilt to spine, edges untrimmed, with Westley & Clark binder's ticket to rear pastedown of the original yellow endpapers; cloth mostly faded to brown, moderately sunned at edges, corners bumped, rebacked with most of original spine laid down, preserving the faded gilt title; 20th-century bookplate on front pastedown, ink ownership on front free endpaper recto.
