The pewter rimmed cover surmounted by fox finial, above a cylindrical neck molded with foliate border picked out in colors against a cobalt ground and mounted with a handle modeled as a riding crop, the body with oval cartouches depicting a fox preying on a rabbit opposite a hound chasing a game bird, within stiff leaf borders to the shoulder and base, raised on conforming foot, the base with impressed registration lozenge, hand painted with shape number "3228" to unglazed thumbprint.
