Artist Biography

Juan Santiago was born in 1973 in Manila, Philippines and immigrated to the US in 1992. After receiving his B.F.A. in Ceramic Art (2000) from the California College of the Arts and Crafts, he received his M.F.A. in Ceramic Art (2004) from Alfred University, where he apprenticed to Wayne Higby and Peter Voulkos. He has since taught at a variety of schools in California and Thailand, including the California College of the Arts. His work is held in the collections of the Foshan Museum of Ceramic Art, Foshan, China, and the Schein-Joseph International Museum of Ceramic Art, Alfred, New York.
