Original pictorial green cloth-covered boards, slightly cocked, front joint lightly rubbed, spine ends a bit worn and chipped, small bump to upper front board corner, other corners lightly worn, stamped in gilt, white, black, and red; all edges trimmed; old ownership inscription on the front free endpaper; small book-plate on front paste-down, light spotting to prelims, darkening and creasing along top edge of plate facing p. 164, small abrasion to bottom corner of same; in black cloth-covered fall-down-back box. A scarce first edition of an early Wodehouse title. Originally featured in the magazine The Captain in two parts, as Jack Junior (later republished under the title Mike at Wrykyn) and The Lost Lambs (later republished under the title Mike and Psmith).
