This work is a study for a proposed colossal monument at Oberlin College in Ohio. The subject was later realized as The Giant Ice Bag that was shown in the American Pavillion of the Osaka World's Fair in 1970. The Giant Ice Bag was also exhibited in 1971 at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art as part of an exhibition titled Art and Technology.
