After a highly successful Spring auction in June with a 90% sell though rate, Freeman's is excited to invite consignments for our Fall rare Books, Maps & Manuscripts auction.

Past sale highlights and recent auction results include a first edition of F. Scott Fitzgerald's Tender is the Night, which brought $17,500,  a hand-Colored Engraved Map by John Smith, "Virginia, Discovered and Discribed by Captayn John Smith, Graven by William Hole." [London, 1612.] 2nd state which sold for $33,750, a manuscript "General Order No. 9," written and signed by Robert E. Lee that brought $81,250, and the first public printing of the U.S. Constitution, as well as the second issue of the final text, from The Pennsylvania Packet, and Daily Advertiser, September 19, 1787, which sold for $207,225. Freeman's Books, Maps & Manuscripts department has also brought to auction several prestigious collections, including The Mount Saint Alphonsus Seminary Library Collection, The Wolman Collection of Classical Scores, and the Collection of Historic Muhlenberg Property.
