An emerald, diamond and platinum necklace and earrings

Freeman’s Jewelry and Watches department brings a wide array of fine jewelry, gemstones, timepieces, and luxury handbags to buyers at all stages of collecting. With decades of experience handling fine jewelry, gemstones, timepieces, and objets de virtue, our team of Graduate Gemologists has keen knowledge of the global jewelry market and is adept at appraising both individual pieces and entire collections spanning from the 19th century to the present day.

Jewelry and Watches brings various buying opportunities to collectors: Jewelry and Watches, boutique jewelry, and holiday sales. Our biannual Jewelry and Watches auctions feature an impressive array of large diamonds, colored gemstones, fresh-to-market jewels from prominent estates and private collections, as well as signed pieces and iconic designs by the world’s most celebrated houses and esteemed makers.

The department’s boutique jewelry sale series allows emerging collectors from across the globe to compete for luxury jewelry, watches, and other designer pieces at various price points. Our specialists have overseen impressive sales of signed pieces by Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, David Webb, Tiffany & Co. Schlumberger, Bulgari, and Rolex, among others.

Jewelry and Watches manages sales of both individual works and single-owner collections; recent successes include property from the Collection of Dorrance “Dodo” H. Hamilton, the $760,000 sale of a rare Belle Époque fancy vivid yellow diamond pendant by J.E. Caldwell & Co., and the $231,250 sale of a rare fourteen-karat gold “Paul Newman” Rolex Cosmograph Daytona chronograph bracelet watch.
