Erin Riggins-Hartlaub earned her master’s degree in art history and holds graduate certifications in diamonds and colored stones. She is currently completing her graduate gemologist degree through the Gemological Institute of America. She is a member of the Association for the Study of Jewelry and Related Arts. Her writing on a range of jewelry-related topics has been published in several magazines including BmoreArt and Adornment. Prior to joining Freeman’s, Riggins-Hartlaub was a jewelry specialist at Alex Cooper Auctioneers in Baltimore, Maryland. She also served on the curatorial staff at GreenHill Center for North Carolina Art and was president of the Association of Graduate Art Students at the University of Georgia.
