Erin Riggins-Hartlaub holds a master’s degree in art history and graduate certifications in diamonds and colored stones. She is currently completing her graduate gemologist degree through the Gemological Institute of America and is USPAP compliant through 2024. Riggins-Hartlaub's writing on a range of jewelry-related topics has been published in BmoreArt and Adornment magazines. She is a member of the Association for the Study of Jewelry and Related Arts and the DC/MD/VA chapter of the Women's Jewelry Association. Prior to joining Freeman’s, Erin was a jewelry specialist at Alex Cooper Auctioneers in Baltimore. She also served on the curatorial staff at GreenHill Center for North Carolina Art and was president of the Association of Graduate Art Students at the University of Georgia.
