Whitney Bounty serves as Creative Director and Brand Manager of Freeman’s. Whitney guides all creative projects, working closely with the graphic designer, videographer, photography department, Marketing Manager, and Digital Content Manager. She conceptualizes and manages all creative processes, including catalogue layout, art direction for photography and video, and the design of promotional materials, exhibitions and window displays. She conceives and executes the presentation of single-owner collections and oversaw all marketing and creative for Across Continents: Property from the Collection of Ambassador and Mrs. Alexander Weddell, The Virginia House Museum, 18 Works from the Bachman Collection, and The Collection of Dorrance “Dodo” H. Hamilton, whose catalogue received an excellence award.
Whitney first joined Freeman’s in 2010 as the inaugural recipient of the Samuel M. Freeman II Fellowship. For six years, she was an Associate Specialist in Freeman’s American Furniture, Folk and Decorative Arts department, specializing in American folk art, American Indian arts, and American silver. She was a student at the National Ballet School of Canada in Toronto and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with an honors degree in English and a minor in art history.
