Gallery Talk: Emil Carlsen's "Copper and Porcelain"

Freeman's Vice Chairman Alasdair Nichol discusses Emil Carlsen's (american 1853-1932) still life painting "Copper and Porcelain," one of the works featured in the sale of The George D. Horst Collection of Fine Art. Freeman 's March 30th auction of the collection achieved $4.3 million in sales, more than tripling the original estimate of $1.3 million.  This work by Carlsen exceeded pre-auction estimates, selling for $386,500.
