Shannon Jeffers serves as Department Administrator and Cataloguer in Freeman’s Modern & Contemporary Art department.
Ms. Jeffers joined Freeman’s in 2013, first as an intern for the Marketing Department and later as the recipient of the Samuel M. Freeman II Fellowship. During her time in the Modern & Contemporary Department, she has worked closely with the specialists, obtaining extensive knowledge of prints, paintings and sculpture within the auction business, as well as honing her skills in client relations, researching, writing, cataloguing, and presenting fine art for auction.
As a Philadelphia native, Ms. Jeffers earned a Master's with Merit in the History of Art and the Art Market from Christie’s Education/ University of Glasgow in London. Before studying at Christie’s, Ms. Jeffers received her Bachelor’s degree from Fordham University, majoring in Art History, with a minor in French. In addition to Modern & Contemporary Art, she has a passion for the arts and architecture of the Middle Ages, which has inspired many fun and exciting trips throughout Europe. During her free time, Ms. Jeffers loves to travel closer home, taking advantage of the area’s many museums, galleries and cultural sites.
